well that's done
Scout Squad Koren is finished! Finally! Now I have to do those 8 CC scouts, oh dear me!
'ere we goes:
The full squad, six dudes, one killing machine:
Just 5 guys have chapterbadges since the 6th guy has his cloak over his shoulderpad:
And all 6 dudes show off my beautifully freehanded squad markings (needs some blue here and there though)
One of my kidbash/plasticard creations: the bipod barret (though actually a normal sniperrifle)
Here you can see him adjusting his scope, which I did just for the feeling cause in the 41st millenium the scope will adjust by itself I imagine...
And finally the ultimate sniper badass: Sergeant Koren, *he's soooo dreamy!*
That's all, I'm off to fix up the eight metal (damn you gw!) CC scouts I'm using upcoming weekend. lotsa work to do!

Sweeet :D
But I think you don't need to rush with the other scouts. They are already painted and you'll be sorry if you rush things.
btw..have you found a loose (sp) hormagaunt scything talon? I'm missing one. Thankfully I brought 2-3 spare hormagaunts.
i think ill find plenty loose ones.... after I take em off your gaunts.
anyway, I dont have to really "rush"
I can do 3 to 4 colors a day. and it's 7 colors in total, plus a seal. I've already done two colors, so I'l have them done by friday.
if you take arms of my gaunts..I might find loose human arms after taking them of you.
No hard feelings of course ^^
Btw..I've put my 6x4 table together.
The plates don't fit exactly right (so they stick out a little bit) but well enough.
Ugh..lifting it up on the supporting stuff (can't even come up with the Dutch word for them)was really difficult. Used the bench as an intermediate stage.
that looks really cool ! wow.

... a what what ? and what ?
haha lol, my brother plays these aliens (kinda star ship trooper like guys) and one of his footsloggers is missing an arm :P
oh and those 3 to 4 colors a day were a bit ambitious, I did two colors today: shadow grey and skull white (the former being the base coat for the latter).
I have an enormous pain in the neck atm (I hate metal models). But as for the rest of the colors, that's all nades, weapons, pouches and doodadds, so that won't take me more than a day.
pretty fast footsloggers though.
*now where is this darned arm*
How in the hell does a Hormagaunt LOSE a Scything Talon?!?!?! They dont exactly grow legs and walk away... Although if they did, that would be one huge ass evolutionary leap in the Hivemind.
And yes pewter models are evil without the right tools, Oh yessss indeed!

I suggest using a brush ;)
well..the talon broke off. And now I can't find it, that's how!
almost there!, just the boltgun metal en dark angels green parts. then fixing any mistakes that I might have made then higlights and heads, subsequenty the seal and finally the weapons (which will also be sealed eventually)
I also bought em a case to carry the dudes. cost me a little more than I really wanted, but it was long overdue. It'll carry about 1000-1500 points I think. I'm calling it strike cruiser bob....
ok im loosing it

show the case!
Make a show-case ^^
Are those Scouts just using the bits from the Non Shooty Scout box?

well, mostly, all the crouching ones have GS legs (between the hip and boot) and some of the hands are marine ones (the big fat ones).
And as you might have seen in the past, the sniper rifles are a bash of pulse/lasrifles and gs. There are also some minore gs details (filling gaps in arms/the mouth cover of Sarge Koren). The rest is all non shooty plastic scout box parts.
Oh, the cables on the barret guy and the heavy bolter is just paperclip. And the extra scope on the Heavy bolter is from a plastic scout bp.
oh uhh...
*nods along to the conversation*
GS = green stuff.
A kind of modelling clay that consists of blue & yellow parts that are mixed and harden in time.
So...what he was saying: he kinda made the sniper rifles from scratch using clay and random bits.
Sounds fairly simple enough. Ive been pondering getting a box of the Scout stuff but i thought, ehh, since i have a fair few of the old models, i wouldnt, that and im not fully convinced by the looks of the plastic ones.
Oh well...
